Party Olives

Ingredients

  • 1 c castelvetrano olives
  • just enough to cover olives olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 wide strips zest from an orange

Instructions

Step 1

In a small pan, add castelvetrano olives and just enough olive oil to cover.

Step 2

Add fennel seeds and crushed red pepper flakes to the pan. Use more crushed red pepper flakes for added heat.

Step 3

Using a y-peeler, peel 3 wide strips of zest from an orange, trying not to get too much of the pith (white part).  Add to the pan, and gently heat over low.

Step 4

Once the herbs have had time to infuse their flavor, about 10 minutes, remove from heat and serve!
