Harvesting tips

Cauliflower is ready to harvest when a white compact head with firm curds has formed. The cauliflower will be about 6-8". Keep outer leaves on the plant to protect the head from sunburn. Harvest the cauliflower by cutting the head off of the plant a few inches from the base of the cauliflower.

The cauliflower head may turn purple or pink if it is exposed to too much heat, cold, or light exposure. This will not change the flavor, so you can still harvest and enjoy it!

    Fun and delicious!

We have enjoyed growing so much that I got a grant for my classroom to get an indoor setup and started growing at my school with the students! Growing your own food can be really, really simple and the Lettuce grow doesn’t take up too much space. We’ve had a lot of success outdoors in full sun (at least 12hrs) and indoors with the lights on a timer. Everyone can grow a solid amount of food for themselves!! I spend just a couple hours each season cleaning and resetting new plants. Go for it!! You won’t be disappointed!!

    So easy and fun

    Love my garden!

Picking fresh produce every day to make a salad is the best!

It’s fool proof, delicious, healthy and everyone who sees it wants to get one.

I put 24 plantings over 2 weeks, and even though I have room for 12 more, it’s getting pretty crowded. The cauliflower leaves are huge!

    Life changing

I bought this for a family who lives in the city but only has a small amount of room on a patio. The kids love walking out and having fresh produce! Amazing how much you can grow with such a small space.
